Driving home at this hour, rainy and foggy as it is, the whole atmosphere seems very "Haunted Hayride"-esque. I don't know what it is, maybe because I'm pretty tired? Maybe because there really isn't anyone on the road at this hour on Sunday. Maybe because the fog gives me that "something is about to pop out of scare you" vibe. Maybe because the steam coming from that building in the distance seems ominous somehow. Or maybe it's the way that drainage plant up the road almost looks like a haunted house, so dark, yet the windows lit up so brightl--wait, all the lights just went out, even the lamp posts. Weird timing. Guess it's all on a timer? Ah well, almost past it, anyw--oh shit, the lights just came back on again!? Weird...
Time for bed now.

Sick. F-ing sick. But I've been sick like this a couple times before. I need liquids, bed rest, and most importantly: FOOD, and lots of it. Could use a good steak...

Just, so much going on right now, I can't see straight.
A few weeks ago Katie had her final Starbase Awesome party before the move. Kat, Gitta and Jamie made it, which I'm happy for. People were met, people friended on Facebook, it's all mad-mad crazy... (yawns)
At the moment I'm trying out that 100 Push Up challenge. I only just started it, but hopefully when I'm done I will actually defeat Gitta at arm wrestling. That little chick is packing heat, and I will never forget it.
Yesterday was... crazy. I saved a couple cars (including my bosses) from being rammed with a giant flower cart, since I was simply there at the right time, saved myself from getting his by a shopping cart full of charcoal (kick it over as it came at me) as I held the first flower cart stead mere inches from said cars, and watched in horror as the SECOND flower cart started rolling away, only to simply tip over into a big, expensive mess... I think I should get a raise. At least SOMEONE now knows the important of a cart break on a windy day, geez...
This cute guy came in later in the day. I met him before on Saint Patrick's Day when I was dancing around the store in my get-up. He was pretty sweet, friendly... He came in yesterday and was sorta... hovering around, so I went to see if he needed any help. Long story short, he ended up leaving with my number and I ended up with a small date that same evening. 0_o It... happened so fast! Don't know if I will hear from him again, or what. Not sure how these things work. We'll see.
Presently working on a logo for my dance teacher's band. Going through a plethora of fonts, finding a lot that would work with what she wants. I'm to do a bit of thinking. Also finishing off the knot work designs for our dance dresses, if they're still needed at all. But I wanna... T_T
Other projects to be completed in time, though I have no idea when I will have the time. Both jobs have been needing me constantly and I don't know what to do with myself. I seriously will need a vacation. I also need to find the time to SEE people! Me! Me find time! It's the only way it can happen! So I might loose some sleep now and then, but some priorities take the back burner, you know?
Urgh, rambling. Doing some touches, saving this file and going the hell to BED a but early.
After push ups...

I go an give up comics for Lent (ALL forms of comics: Manga, Doujinshi, American Comics, Comic Strips, the Funnies...) and I find out indirectly that one of my favorite LJ Communities was suspended! T_T What a tragedy... The timing for me seems almost ironic. On some level I can understand why, because lately people have been posting particularly risqué material, but it is designated for ages 18 and over.

What I need is a full night sleep, that's all. I was hoping to go out a little bit tonight, cheer up, but that didn't fly. So sleep seems like a very good idea right now. And maybe some tea.

Man, what a week. Starting last Thursday I headed out with my sister Katie, her boyfriend Paul, as well as Suzi and Keith to Ocean City for a few days. It was really nice to get away for a while, especially with work kicking my butt on all fronts. By the end of these week things should be settled down.
We sent the four days we had getting some sun, rockin' the arcade, and eating all you can eat crab legs twice (boy, it was satisfying). We stayed at the Holiday Inn, which had it's own kitchen and DVD player, which came in handy. I also get a bed all too myself, which was super nice for my neck and back, which had been suffering the last couple days.
Made a few killings with the claw catcher machines, including some antique ones that took dimes. I think I've found a home for the 24"~ inch Mega Man, luckily. I played a couple rounds of DDR, because who as I to resist? Katie even gave it a shot! She'll pick it up, though the first time she tried her up-arrow was stuck. XD Also nearly gave Katie a heart attack later that day by suggesting a caravel ride that really wasn't for her, but she survived. XD We were the only two people on everything we rode, the place was deserted!
It SHOULD be noted, however, that it was some sort of Biker's Week. HUNDREDS of bikeds in the whole city! It was bloody LOUD! But luckily the hotel room was nice and sound proof!
We left on that Sunday, my birthday (the day before was my Gitta's b-day, yaaaa!). XD I am now a quarter of a century old. T_T
Paul was sweet, and got me these shoes I'd been ogling. Turning out they're actually men's shoes, but I love them anyway. Got a few text messages, not to mention the numerous pokes on Facebook. You know who you are, and it means a lot. ^_^
I MAY be getting a present from my mom and dad at some point, but apparently my dear mother misplaced whatever it is somewhere quite hidden... XD The phrase "Mom's ruined Christmas, again," has been floating around. (smiles, eye roll) It'll turn out, though I hope she stops killing herself over it. I am withholding on celebrating with my family until my dad gets back from his business trip to Las Vegas (he left before I was home that day).
Katie got me two things. One, a cute little Chibimaru memo holder, and the other something that still has be floored. I can't begin to express how thankful I am, especially right now. Now I'm counting all the ways I can make it up to her.
That evening I went out to a little dinner with a few peoples; Gitta (the OTHER b-day girl, of course), Kat, Darryl and Olga. We went to one of my (our?) favorite restaurants: O'Faolain's Irish Pub. It's been forever since I've had some pot pie! Also, on Sundays evenings there is live music, which is always a delight. I'd like to drag more people there, sometime.
Today I went to work at the studio (back to work!). Before I headed out Joe texted me saying "don't eat anything." Turns out he wanted to treat me to lunch for my birthday, even if it was a day late. We threw some banter at each other, than headed out. He chose this Vietnamese place, for whatever reason, but I went with it because no matter what I might say I trust his judgment. XD Turns out it was a plot devised by Sally, who also brought her daughter Yasmen (who is very cool). She noticed I liked eating a lot of Asian-style foods and thought I would like it (which I did!). Apparently Sally had been worried I would figure something is amiss, but Joe assumed her, "Don't worry, she's pretty oblivious to these things." ~_~ But it was really, really sweet.
Tomorrow, I am hitting the ground running, and anticipating my forthcoming 16 hour work day. @_@ I am sleeping-in on my day off, that's all I have to say. SLEEPING!

Not an update, not really, but a question!
It's driving me nuts. I remember I sci-fi horror-esque movie I watched as a kid. I think it's a group of explorers who land on a deserted planet, where they find a large container filled with a black substance. The container cracks, in its turns out this substance is sentient, and begins taking over members of the crew, and they subsequently seek to murder everyone else.
It's was dark, creepy, and suspenseful and I loved it. However for the life of me, I can't search for it on the internet, because the only thing that come up are Alien (for obvious reasons), The X-Files (The Black Oil), Spider-Man (Venom), and Men In Black (for more obvious reasons).
Anyone have a clue? At all? I'm pretty sure it was made in the 80's, but even that I can't be sure of.

I just finished watching Stargate Continuum, the second of the two (so far) direct-to-DVD movies since Stargate ended. It is EVERYTHING I know and love about the series. SO AWESOME! I laughed, a went all woobie, and it honestly had me worried at least a dozen times. Which is good, because that means it always had be guessing!
If I didn't have to go to bed at the moment, I would launch into a full scale explanation, but as it stands, I am WAY too tired.

I've been in the weirdest mood. I like patchwork stuff. My bedspread is patchwork-esque, like my college bedsheets were. It's also one medium in which I prefer pastels and pale colors only. It's so busy in the first place, why go overboard with brights and darks?
I don't really like patchwork in my clothing, persée, but I find I like this purse. Kinda wish it didn't have that bit of silver in the patchwork, but it rings my chimes. Anyone think it just looks plan weird? (searches for more bags)
On another note, I really wanna go gypsy for this years Renaissance Festival. I have a corset and a passable skirt, but have yet to get a chemise. I should go buy a pattern, though a part of me just want to buy one offline. This one I kinda like, though maybe a bit princess-like. But I do love those sleeves!

Man, I take longer and longer to get around to posting stuff anymore!
The weekend of August 1st I went with my family (mother, father, and big sister) to Rehoboth. It was a lot of fun, even if there weren't many ocean waves all and it was freakin' COLD. I got to wear a bikini out for the firs time even and could actually feel comfortable doing so. I didn't come out of it with much of a tan, but plenty of freckles.
Most of the time were spent on our feet. Katie rishu and I spent most of the time together checking out every shop that looked cool enough and hung around the arcade/carnival areas. I of course gravitated toward the DDR machines and Katie to the shooters, and both of us blew waaaay more money than we should have trying to win stuffed turtles. Katie came away with two turtles and a lizard, and I came away with a turtle as well, his name is Mr. Smudgy. I have far too many stuffed animals as it is, so it's probably good that it stopped there.
The carnival rides were wicked awesome. You know how usually they're a but slow, for the kids? Like, say, 2 cylinders, sissy. Jack that up to 8 cylinders and you got the rider WE were on. The Gravitron was a little traumatizing (I still think it should be called the "Hurler") but I feel I defeated it my getting back on that second time. The Helicopter ride was by far the most delightful, since we did that twice and managed to me some of the last people off both times. The Sea Dragon was the first time I ever got on one of the those boat rides that swing back and forth (same for Katie, I think), and though it was small, it was still awesome. We finished off the even with the Tea Cups, and let me tell you, we were hanging on for dear life on THAT ride, too. Freakin' SWEET!
I spent more money than I should have on jewelry, a hat, and wrapping paper, but I regret nothing.
It was also the greatest thing ever, having my sister all to myself for two whole days. She even put up with me through several rounds of DDR, many more than I really should have. She's also really fun to ride with on carnival rides. I don't think I've heard her scream "SWEET JESUS!" so many times before.
Coming BACK after a weekend at the beach... well, let's say it did was it was supposed to do. I felt relaxed, refreshed, ready to get back to work. And there was a lot of work to be done, let me tell you.
Let's so... ah! Yes, I saw Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, finally. Hilarious movie. Gag reel had me holding my sides and cackling.
As of yesterday I headed up to Bethesda to meet people's as Dave & Buster's for Steve shadowedsaint BIRTHDAY!!!! Yesterday was also Peter's birthday, and I'm sorry I could come to both. I had work that day, anyway. T_T
I got lost getting there... a little... It was the directions fault, not mine. Adding a bloody u-turn in there for no reason. Now, getting BACK... well, I'm still a little confused on that, but I think I might have just been paranoid and not lost at all. Either was I'm 50-50 on being lost and not being lost... Sorry Alex!
Anyway, that's all for now. Gotta run!

Sunday I went to Kings Dominion with Gitta gittapet, a coworker and some new friends. Joe invited me a couple weeks ago, so I thought it would be a nice chance to get out for once. There was also Jenny (Joe's girlfriend), Jessica, Heather (Jesse's little sister), Petter and Chris. They're all super nice, and thanks to all of them the day was a blast.
The tickets were discounted, though the park was twice as packed because everyone had the same idea we did. Along with discounted tickets there was also a really nice all-you-can-eat outdoor "picnic" or sorts, and we eat our fill before waiting in any long lines. We went on the Dominator (among others), hung around the water park, and Petter and I played DDR. On retrospect, when I had aches and pains the next couple days, I realize it wasn't from walking around the park all day. It was from playing Break Down on difficult for the first time in years. At least I got a B. XD
I think one of the key running gags for the day had to do with the sunblock we were wearing. SPF 85, provided by Jesse. Ever heard the Budd Light commercial "Mr. 80 SPF Sunblock Wearer"? We got that dude BEAT. Still came away with a tan (more maybe just freckles...).
Gitta didn't want to go on some of the rides toward the beginning, but managed to convince her to go on some of the wooden coaster, which, in my opinion, are scarier. XD The Lazy River was relaxing and fun, considering there were 8 of us floating together. The wave pool was disgust. Period. Never. Again.
One thing to note about the day is that the threat of rain and thunderstorms were hanging over our heads all day. Literally. All the weather reports I looked at said there would be rain and lightening all day and all night. Despite a killer lightening storm being visible in the distance toward the end of the day, we had sunshine all day long. What luck! I was certainly freaking out during the car ride home, but rain didn't even touchdown until we reached my neighborhood.
In other news, I've been having a lot of stress dreams lately. I don't really know why, but haven't had a good nights sleep in a while. The dreams included situations like sociable zombies, super powers, being late, and car accidents (or at least trying to help someone else who was in a car accident). It probably has something to do with work, which is very hectic right now. Not sure when it's going to calm down, but hopefully soon.
Oh yeah, and Happy 4th, everyone!

Can't stop eating these jelly beans. They're so good, but they're all I've been eating all day (and also bread, BAD ME!)! Especially the licorice... mmmm, licorice... and they're almost GONE now!
Damn you Jelly Belly!

Belated, but better late than never...
Good-bye Violet. You were a wonderful bird. For ten years we drove each other up the wall, but in the end I finally understood how your budgie brain worked. You were the first (and only) bird I ever learned to hold. You were one of a kind. We'll miss you...

I figure it's a good a time as any to make a post!
Well, LAST weekend I went to Bonnie's house in Culpeper for her graduation party. As always, it's a pleasure to visit. Unfortunately I realized after I left that I DIDN'T ask to see her senior project. >_< Next time... Anyways, the drive there was a nice one, roughly two hours, and about three wrong turns (my own fault). I also got to see Steve, Dan, Alex, and later Juan. XD We hung out, enjoyed the AWESOME weather, and even played a little pool. I crashed there for the night, which was a good idea, considering I didn't want to get turned around (again) going back after dark. T_T
Monday I got a couple updated in my car computer system regrading the airbags and glorious new windshield wipers (AT LAST), all free of charge. It was a long wait, two hours in the waiting area. The appointment was at 10:30 a.m., and mom was going to take me and we would have hung out, but one of her buddies called up to see if she wanted to drive out to the country. Of course she was devastated, but I insisted that she should just go and have fun (I mean, she doesn't get to do that sort of thing very often). Only downside was since the call came the minute we were headed out the door, I didn't have time to eat anything (I was going to have lunch with her), but I at least managed to find two dollars to buy myself a Kit-Kat from the vending machine. XD Also put a good dent in a book of mine. But 32 pages within two hours seems like a pretty pathetic dent... Hate being a slow reader.
This week a work had a lot of changes happening... At TJ's not exactly for the better (but things change), and my other design job things are looking up for my boss, which is good. Things have been really busy at both jobs, which is good and bad depending, but you all know how that is...
Thursday night was GOTH PROM!!! It was fun, the club itself was awesome, and the music was surprisingly rock/alternative rather than the electronica I'm used to. Not BAD, just different. XD There were was a "freak show" actor where a woman went face/chest down on (real) broken glass, then have a tiny person from the audience stand on her back and head. There was also a pair of belly dancers whose costumes reminded me of a cross between Alice's outfit from Resident Evil 2 (the movie), Princess Leia's metal bikini, and a Renn Fair. And the act with swords was totally like a Amazonian mating ritual... 0_0 Lot of gorgeous tattoos. As usual Suzi was there with her boyfriend, and Paul came, too.
Friday evening my sister came to spend the night and my family had dinner together. After dinner Katie and I went to Tyson's to shop of Body Gap for a bikini and it was oddly enough a success (FINALLY). Found the size I needed, and order the color I wanted online, and luckily my size was one of the only two sizes left. On the way home we rocked out to various songs, most noticeably Micheal Jackson's "Thriller" and "Smooth Criminal." Rotersand's "All In All" and "Exterminate Annihilate Destroy". XD Rotersand is made of awesome for the latter! It's totally a ode to Dalek's. The whole CD is really good, which has a definite VNV Nation spin to it.
After work on Saturday I CRASHED. I stay at work an hour later than usual, and had an unusually rough day... So I come home and decide to take a nap at around 6 p.m., and the next thing I know I wake up around 2 a.m. Refusing to screw up my sleep patterns THIS week, I went right back to bed, and another 7 hours later managed to drag my wobbly, jelly-like body out of bed around 9 a.m. It should have been earlier, but dreams are AWESOME.

(crawls out of bed)
Well, after sleeping for nearly 15 hours straight (and not easily at first), still I don't know if I've defeated whatever I had/have right now.
I was feeling a little under the weather yesterday with a normal temperature (low 80s), a bit of an odd chill when the freeze door was open for a while. I noticed I kept of waking up every hour or so the night before, which is usually a sign of sickness for me, so I should have seen it coming. All this changed to an unsettled stomach, severe chills, subtle aches and pains, and a temp in the 100s. I cocooned myself in three layers and winter blankets for several hours before said chills were won over and my fever broke, and stomach settled, and my appetite came back, all at once.
Called out earlier today, but then started feeling better. I guess I shouldn't go to work either way, considering I caught this from my mom and dad and therefore it's CONTAGIOUS.
But this isn't SO bad. I went for a long, long time without getting sick, it was bound to happen sometime, especially when bugs start circulating.

This past week I did more socializing than I thought I would. There is some socializing that didn't happen that I wanted to happen, but it didn't happen... but that's how it goes sometimes, right?
Last Saturday I finally went to one of these "events" that my co-worker Joe is always inviting me to. Sprang it on me, late, as usual. XD But for once I had taken a nap and DIDN'T have work the next day. It was nice, different, but nice. It was like Game Night with alcohol (though I didn't drink). Played foosball for the first time and did okay. Played lead guitar in Rock Band until my finger started getting numb. XD
The following day I drove to Fredrick, which was actually rather peaceful, and met Bonnie krimstorm and Steve shadowedsaint at the Olive Garden there. We chatted, had a little wine on the house, and had the best damn black tie chocolate mousse cake I've had in a while! And it was HUGE!
Monday my boss from my OTHER job contacted me, wanted to know if I could come in again. I did, of course, though it really was unexpected. I wasn't expecting to go back again. Ever. Guess I was wrong.
Tuesday saw me crying. A lot. A co-worker of mine, Jon, is moving to NYC with his fiancee. His last day is, well, TODAY. Saturday. I suppose on Tuesday it really hit me that he's LEAVING and won't be coming back, and that I wouldn't be working Wednesday and therefore would be missing one more day I could be seeing him. He is a wonderful friend, and has really been there for me, even if he might not know how much. I will miss him terribly. Even time I looked at him I got sad, I could hardly speak to him at all. But I didn't cry in front of him, at least. I only hope I can keep in contact with him. I actually asked to work a couple hours today, on my day off, so I could see him for the last time. It's really breaking my heart, but I wish Jon all the happiness in the world! He really deserves it. And his fiancee, Roshni, is wonderful, I wish I had gotten to know her better.
Wednesday saw my return to the studio. It was a loooong day. Some sort of worm virus was (is?) attacking our server and messing with the code in all the different websites. Dealing with the issue has been troublesome. That evening, very suddenly, Gitta called and asked to hang, which I could only do for a little while since I had to go to a tasting at TJ's that day. She came over for dinner, since my mom made chicken piccata for the first time just for me. And my GOODNESS she did a wonderful job! After that we went out for a little ice cream, chatted, then I had to go to Reston. Sadly, I actually got there half an hour early, and really had to rest my eyes for a minute on the art table. MAN I was tired!
Thursday I think I was cried out, and back to my usual talky self with Jon. Probably had something to do with the nice conversation I had with my sister rishu two days before (she was a big support). Tom and myself took him to Tortilla Factory for an artist exclusive goodbye lunch/dinner, like we did Joshua when he left. It won't be the same with just me and Tom... Anyway, later that day was the first official dance class for Katie and I. Unfortunately that meant I missed Bonnie's senior show, but I am going to try and see it before it's taken down. Class went well this time. Everyone is, well, shorter than us... Much younger. There is another class with more adults on Wednesdays, but it's actually a slower class, and we would learn twice as much and twice as fast where we are now. After class I came home and CRASHED! EXHAUSTED!!!
Friday I was at the Studio again. Contacted some clients I haven't worked with in a while. They're so nice, it's wonderful working for them again. Joe showed me the "new Zelda Movie trailer", which I quickly discovered was definitely an April Fools joke. A good one, but still (Joe was pretty convinced it was real, but you can't blame him for wishful thinking). That evening I ended up seeing a movie with peoples. I tried to coordinate it so it could be a real "outing", but miscalculated. Movies (i.e. Iron Man) aren't good for meeting people. Joe brought his girlfriend Jenny and friend Jessica. Gitta gittapet came with her boyfriend Alex, and friend Warren. Well, the whole "meeting up" part didn't go over so well, and meeting was troublesome, but it happens. Maybe another time. The movie was AMAZING at least. I LOVED IT!
Today, or right now, I plan on crashing. I'm freakin' tired! Today I will be seeing Jon for the last time, and there is a strong likelihood I will be a sobbing mess. Hopefully I won't be embarrassing myself too much, though fingers crossed that I can keep a cool head. After work I hope to maybe see Kitty level27gc_fan for a bit, and maybe see Iron Man again. Yes, again. There are very, VERY few movies I'm willing to see more than once, but this might be one of them. We'll see.
Next week I hope to make it to Fairfax to A) see Bonnie's project and B) see Kaz kazeugm and Josh arcnes, as I've been wanting to. Need to start bugging Josh again about when he's free...
